Women of the Goddesses of the Guardian Series

FREYJA

The Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr (sorcery), war, and death. The one for whom all Shapeshifters were created.

"The beautiful blonde smiled up at him. "Do not play coy with me, Grey. You know exactly why I am here." She paused briefly adjusting the buttons on her jacket. "No matter how often I journey to this world I will never get accustomed to these bindings," she spoke aloud, but mainly to herself.
Eventually, her attention came back to Michael Grey. He shifted under her weighted gaze. Though he had known the woman across from him for more centuries than he could count, occasionally she would look at him in a way he had yet to decipher."  from The Last Guardian

HEL

The Norse goddess who reigns over a realm of the same name. There she controls all that enter her world.

"She seemed delicate, though she stood nearly as tall as he, with high cheekbones and a straight nose. A pale blue aura pulsed around her like a shield. It extended outward to encompass Saint within it before it retracted back to her.
Upon her head sat a diadem of silver incrusted with sapphires of midnight blue. Saint could not help the feeling of sadness that flooded him as he realized the precious stones were the only form of color on her."  from The Last Guardian
